Nursing and Midwifery Council Of Nigeria (NMCN) Releases May 2026 Professional Examination Results.


The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the release of the results for the May 2026 Professional Examination. A total of 11,835 candidates were successful, representing an overall average pass rate of 69%.
Breakdown of Results
- General Nursing Programme: 9,906 successful candidates (70% pass rate)
- Post Basic Nursing Programmes: 775 successful candidates (72% pass rate)
- Community Nursing Programme: 846 successful candidates (58% pass rate)
- Foreign Trained Nursing (FTN): 308 successful candidates (52% pass rate)
Key Instructions for Candidates and Institutions
Result Verification: Heads of nursing training institutions are directed to check their institution’s results online at app.nmcn.gov.ng starting Wednesday, 13th May 2026.
Registration and Licensing: Successful candidates should visit the NMCN portal at myportal.nmcn.gov.ng to apply for registration and licensing. Specific modalities will be communicated by Wednesday, 13th May 2026.
Registration Deadline: Online registration formalities, including payment of fees, must be completed within 90 days from the date of result release.
Late Penalties: Registrations after the 90-day window will attract a penalty fee of sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty Naira (N16,250.00) per applicant.
Additionally, a penalty fee of six [text cut off] will be applied.
