Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Resumption Date for Continuation of 2025/2026 Academic Session has been Announced.


Senate, among other things, considered the issue of resumption of students from three weeks’ mid semester break. It recalled that the three-week moratorium was introduced to give administration ample time to look into the situation generated by the newly introduced transportation system and to engage stakeholders to collectively address the concerns raised by this development. It also noted the information that all mnatters that emanated from the situation had been sufficiently addressed.
Senate further noted that the three-week mid-semester break would elapse on Tuesday, 19th May, 2026.
After an exhaustive deliberation on the matter, Senate agreed that students should resume on Tuesday, 19th May, 2026, and all academic activities would commence immediately.
