SSU Postgraduate Admission Form 2025/2026 is Out [UPDATED]

The Sokoto State University, SSU Postgraduate Admission Form for the 2025/2026 academic session is now on sale. The form cost N12,000. The closing date is 30th September, 2025.

This is to inform the general public that sequel to successful Resource Assessment by the National Universities Commission (NUC), the Sokoto State University (SSU) commences Postgraduate programmes.

Applications are, therefore, invited from qualified candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session, leading to the award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master and Doctorate degrees.

SSU Postgraduate Admission Requirements

Postgraduate Programmes

All candidates for admission into Postgraduate programmes must provide records of Academic Transcripts and must have met matriculation requirements.

• Candidates for admission into Ph.D. programmes shall have a Master’s degree in relevant areas with CGPA of not less than 3.0 on a scale of 5.0.
• Candidates for admission into Master’s degree programmes shall have a minimum of Second Class Lower degree in the relevant areas. Postgraduate Diploma or Third Class degree (with at least five (5) years cognate work experience) from any recognized University may be considered.
• Candidates for admission into Postgraduate Diploma programmes should possess the following:
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant area.
  • Third Class degree in relevant area.
  • Qualifications other than i and ii above which are acceptable to the University.
