Requirements and Subject Combination

College of Agriculture
Candidates must possess the West African School Certificate or Senior Secondary Certificate or GCE/O’ Level or its equivalent with a minimum of five credits at not more than two sittings in English Language, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and any two from the following subjects: Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Economics / Commerce, Technical Drawing, Food & Nutrition, Home Economics, French Language, Nigerian Language.
At least a Pass in Chemistry is compulsory.
College of Applied Social Sciences
SSCE or WASCE or GCE O’Level or NECO with at least 5 credits at one sitting, which must include: English Language (not Literature in English) and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following: Economics/Commerce, Business Methods/Business Studies, Accounts/ Book Keeping, Literature in English, Government, Statistics, Geography, Government / History, Yoruba/Hausa/Igbo, Biology /Agricultural Science, Office Practice, Physics/Chemistry (only one Science subject: ) OR:
NABTEB: With at least 5 credits at one sitting, which must include: Mathematics & English Language and any three from the following:
(a). GENERAL EDUCATION COMPONENT( TWO Subjects from the following)
Economics/ Commerce, Physics/ Chemistry, Government, Lit. in English, Social Studies and Biology
(b). TRADE COMPONENT/TRADE RELATED COMPONENTS( ONE Subject from the following) Principles of Accounts, Social Studies, Office Practice, Information Communication Technology.
College of Engineering and Technology
SSCE or WASCE or GCE O’ level or NECO with at least five credit at two sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and one subject from: Biology/ Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork (for Civil Engineering Technology), Further Mathematics, Economics/ Commerce, Geography.(For Agricultural Engineering: Biology/Agricultural Science, Food & Nutrition and at least a pass in Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science are necessary).
College of Environmental Design
SSCE or WASCE or GCE O’level or NECO with at least five credits at two sittings
which must include: English Language, Mathematics, and any other three credit passes from the following: History/Government, Chemistry/Physics, Fine Art, Biology/Agricultural Science, Literature in English, Clothing & Textiles, Religious Knowledge, Economics/Commerce, Geography, Home Economics.
College of Science
SSCE or WASCE or GCE O’level or NECO with at least five credits at two sittings, which must include: Biology/Agricultural Science/Health Science, Mathematics, English Language and any two of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Government, Economics/Commerce, Food and Nutrition/Home Management, Health Science, Geography, French Language, Book Keeping/Accounts, Home Economics, Business Methods.
OR
NABTEB: With at least five credits at two sittings, which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Food & Nutrition/Basic Cookery and any other one subject from the following: Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Basic Electronics and Home Management.
